O zagueiro Vitor Reis, do Girona da Espanha, foi convocado pelo Brasil nesta quinta-feira (26) para o amistoso da próxima terça-feira contra a Croácia, em Orlando, nos Estados Unidos, anunciou a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF).
Reis recebe sua primeira convocação para a seleção principal em um anúncio surpresa, feito apenas algumas horas após a derrota por 2 a 1 sofrida pela equipe comandada pelo técnico italiano Carlo Ancelotti diante da França, em Foxborough, perto de Boston.
“Campeão pela Seleção Brasileira do Sul-Americano Sub-17 de 2023, Vitor Reis tem 20 anos e é um dos destaques da posição no Campeonato Espanhol”, destacou a CBF em comunicado.
No Girona, clube ao qual chegou nesta temporada por empréstimo vindo do Manchester City, Vitor Reis disputou 27 partidas pela LaLiga. Revelado nas categorias de base do Palmeiras, o zagueiro vai se apresentar à Seleção Brasileira nesta sexta-feira (27), em Orlando, e realizará seu primeiro treino sob o comando de Ancelotti no sábado.
