Um dos 11 jogadores contratados pelo clube até aqui, o defensor foi titular nos 19 jogos que disputou e marcou um gol. Nos jogos decisivos da Copa do Nordeste, contra Ceará e Fortaleza, foi um dos cobradores de pênaltis e não decepcionou. “Assim que cheguei, os torcedores mostraram muito carinho pelas redes sociais. Carinho sempre chega ao jogador. Tem a ver com o trabalho que tenho feito fora do campo para que as coisas ocorram bem dentro de campo”, disse o zagueiro.
A fase é tão boa que já se fala em permanência. Conti está emprestado ao Bahia pelo Benfica até o fim da temporada, e o Tricolor tem preferência na compra do defensor. Questionado sobre o futuro, o argentino afirmou que está tranquilo e que ainda não é o momento de falar sobre isso. “Estou muito bem aqui. Estou tranquilo. Obviamente, o jogador não tem poder de decisão. Não tenho que falar agora, falta muito tempo, temos um campeonato longo pela frente, também a Copa do Brasil, que é muito importante para a gente. Estou muito tranquilo, fazendo bons jogos. Melhorando cada dia para que, no futuro, possamos decidir o melhor para o clube e para mim também”, declarou.
