O Jacuipense luta por uma vaga na fase semifinal do Campeonato Baiano, sendo que o jogo contra o Bahia ganhou importância para as pretensões da equipe de Riachão do Jacuípe. A partida foi adiada por conta da decisão do TRT e até o momento, o Leão do Sisal não foi notificado mas é contra o adiamento da partida. O temor do clube é que a mudança de data impacte no planejamento para a Série C, que tem início previsto para o fim do mês. “A posição do Jacuipense é de aguardar. Aguardar o desenrolar dos fatos. Na verdade, a parte requerida, a Federação Bahiana de Futebol, esperamos que a Federação tome as medidas judiciais cabíveis. Não é interesse do Jacuipense, em hipótese alguma, que a partida seja suspensa. Principalmente pela questão do comprometimento do calendário da gente. Campeonato já tem previsão de encerrar no dia 23 de maio. Com a suspensão, pode ser que haja necessidade de postergar por mais uma semana, não só para o Jacuipense, mas para outros times que vão disputar competições nacionais, como Bahia de Feira, Atlético de Alagoinhas e Juazeirense. No caso do Jacuipense, a Série C começa no dia 29. No dia 29 ou 30 será nosso jogo contra o Floresta. Para a gente seria péssimo, forçaria o campeonato a ficar mais uma semana a frente, o que coincidiria com o início da Série C. Infelizmente a gente só tem um time para jogar, não temos mais do que um elenco. Diferentemente do Bahia, que talvez tenha condições de disputar duas ou três competições simultaneamente, como vem fazendo”, declarou Felipe Sales, presidente do Conselho Deliberativo do Jacuipense.
O dirigente se disse espantando com a atuação do Sindicato dos Atletas. “O Bahia fez uma opção de jogar o estadual com o time de transição. Agora, na reta final, decidiu atuar com o time principal. Causa um pouco de espanto a atuação do sindicato nesse caso. Mesmo sabendo que o Bahia tem mais de um time para jogar. A não ser que o sindicato esteja alheio a tudo que está acontecendo no futebol da Bahia. O que não acredito. Não é possível que o sindicato não viu que o Bahia joga campeonatos nacionais e internacionais com um time, e joga o estadual com outro totalmente distinto. Não faz sentido nenhum a ação. Causa estranheza para a gente a atuação do sindicato. Ao mesmo tempo, somos contra o adiamento da partida. Vai causar muitos prejuízos ao Jacuipense”, afirmou Felipe Salles.
