O Brasil já chegou a ocupar a vice-liderança do ranking da Fifa, sua melhor colocação. Entre 2008 e 2010, conseguiu se manter por três anos consecutivos em terceiro lugar.
Contudo, já faz quatro anos que a seleção brasileira não figura entre as seis primeiras equipes do ranking. De 2017 para cá, experimentou uma queda na tabela: oitava colocação ao fim de 2017 e décima colocação em 2018.
Nesta quinta-feira (12), a seleção brasileira recebeu o México e goleou por 6 a 0, na Arena Corinthians. Os gols foram marcados por Bia Zaneratto (três), Duda, Debinha e Millene.
A equipe ainda fará um último amistoso no ano, domingo (15), em Araraquara, novamente contra a seleção mexicana, às 18h30.
