Brasil tem chances reais de quase 20 medalhas na 2ª metade das Olimpíadas

O Brasil tem possibilidades reais de ver uma chuva de medalhas na segunda metade dos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio, a partir da noite deste sábado (31). O país fechou a primeira semana com oito pódios (um ouro, três pratas e quatro bronzes), e tem chances concretas de faturar quase 20 medalhas a mais até o término do evento. A grande expectativa tem como base tanto resultados já construídos até aqui no Japão, como no boxe, natação, vela, futebol e ginástica artística, quanto no fato de que grandes nomes do esporte brasileiro ainda irão estrear, como é o caso do canoísta Isaquias Queiroz, a nadadora Ana Marcela Cunha e os skatistas Pedro Barros e Luiz Francisco.

Com a boa campanha apresentada até aqui pelo Brasil, aliado às inúmeras opções de pódio, aumenta a esperança também que o país quebre o recorde de 19 medalhas conquistadas há cinco anos, nos Jogos Olímpicos Rio-2016. Veja abaixo quem são os brasileiros que poderão medalhar nos próximos dias em Tóquio.

Natação

O velocista Bruno Fratus chegou à final dos 50m livre na natação como um dos principais concorrentes a uma medalha. Além de ser considerado um dos fortes candidatos antes mesmo do início dos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio, ele vem confirmando no Japão as expectativas em torno dele. O brasileiro classificou-se para a decisão com o terceiro melhor tempo (21s60), e se repetir esta colocação conquistará o bronze. O favorito a ganhar o ouro na noite deste sábado (31), às 22h30 (horário de Brasília), é o norte-americano Caeleb Dressel.

Ginástica

Não é nada absurdo imaginar que Rebeca Andrade sairá dos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio com três medalhas. Vice-campeã no individual geral com uma performance sólida e brilhante, a brasileira vem sendo um dos grandes nomes da ginástica artística no Japão, e é candidata a subir no pódio mais duas vezes nos próximos dias. Às 5h52 (horário de Brasília) deste domingo (1), a ginasta disputará a final do salto, em que se classificou para a final com a terceira melhor nota. Na segunda-feira (2), a brasileira estará em mais uma decisão de medalha, no solo, após conseguir o quarto lugar na classificatória. Com o ânimo nas alturas pela prata já conquistada, e também pela ausência da estrela norte-americana Simone Biles confirmada no salto, Rebeca tem tudo para beliscar mais duas medalhas na capital japonesa.

Vela

Atuais campeãs olímpicas na classe 49erFX na vela, Martine Grael e Kahena Kunze estão muito bem posicionadas na briga pelo bicampeonato no Japão. Neste sábado, as brasileiras classificaram-se para a regata da medalha na segunda posição na classificação geral com 70 pontos perdidos, mas empatadas com as líderes holandesas Annemiek Bekkering e Annette Duetz. Logo atrás, na terceira posição com 73 pontos, estão as alemãs Tina Lutz e Susann Beucke

A regata decisiva, com pontuação dobrada, acontecerá às 2h33 (horário de Brasília) da segunda-feira (2). Mesmo que tenham um desempenho ruim na “final”, Martine e Kahena possuem boa margem para ao menos levar o bronze. Elas estão com sete pontos de vantagem em relação às quartas colocadas, as espanholas Tamara Dominguez e Paula Martin (77). Mas as chances do bicampeonato são reais.

Boxe

O boxe brasileiro já assegurou uma medalha em Tóquio, com a classificação de Abner Teixeira para as semifinais entre os pesados (categoria até 91kg), o que lhe garantiu ao menos um bronze. Mas, além do pugilista nascido em Osasco, o país tem outros três nomes que estão muito perto do pódio no Japão. Para isso, basta que Wanderson Oliveira, Hebert Conceição e Beatriz Ferreira vençam uma única luta nos próximos dias em suas categorias. Hebert, da categoria médio (até 75kg), também garantirá ao menos a medalha de bronze caso derrote o cazaque Abilkhan Amankul, na madrugada deste domingo (1), às 6h18 (horário de Brasília).

Na terça-feira (3), será a vez de Wanderson Oliveira e Beatriz Ferreira lutarem pela classificação às semifinais. Wanderson, do peso leve (até 63kg), terá pela frente o cubano Andy Cruz. Já Beatriz, que tem um título mundial no currículo e é concorrente à medalha de ouro na categoria leve feminina (até 60kg), duelará com Raykhona Kodirova, do Uzbequistão.

Futebol

A seleção brasileira masculina de futebol segue a caminho do bicampeonato olímpico em Tóquio. A equipe classificou-se para a semifinal neste sábado, com a vitória de 1 a 0 sobre o Egito nas quartas de final, e está a um passo do pódio. O próximo desafio será na terça-feira (3), contra o México, às 5h (horário de Brasília). A vitória colocará o time capitaneado por Daniel Alves na final, e garantirá ao menos a medalha de prata. Se perder, o Brasil ainda jogará pelo bronze contra o derrotado da outra semifinal, entre Espanha e Japão

A última vez em que o Brasil ficou fora do pódio no vôlei olímpico foi há 33 anos, nos Jogos de Seul, em 1988. Desde então, o país mantém a tradição de conquistar ao menos uma medalha na modalidade a cada edição realizada. Nos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio, tanto a equipe masculina quanto a feminina seguem um roteiro com mais pontos positivos do que negativos, o que aumenta a expectativa de que esta boa sequência não seja interrompida. Entre altos e baixos, os dois times classificaram-se antecipadamente às quartas de final.

A seleção feminina venceu seus quatro jogos até aqui e está em primeiro lugar no Grupo A, mas sofreu o baque de perder temporariamente a levantadora titular Macris, o que pode pesar na campanha a partir das quartas de final caso ela não se recupere. Entre os homens, o time treinado por Renan Dal Zotto está na vice-liderança do Grupo B após vencer Tunísia, Argentina e Estados Unidos, mas foi derrotada por 3 a 0 pela líder Rússia.

Vôlei de praia

Assim como na quadra, o vôlei de praia brasileiro também se habituou a subir no pódio nas últimas edições dos Jogos Olímpicos. O país vem conquistando medalhas desde a estreia da modalidade no evento, em Atlanta-1996, e tem tudo para manter a tradição em Tóquio.

As quatro duplas do país classificaram-se para as oitavas de final, que começarão a ser disputadas na noite deste sábado (31). No masculino, só uma dupla poderá subir no pódio, pois as parcerias formadas por Alison/Álvaro Filho e Evandro/Bruno Schmidt podem se enfrentar nas quartas de final, de acordo com o chaveamento.

Já no feminino, Ágatha/Duda e Ana Patrícia/Rebecca duelariam somente em uma eventual semifinal, o que abre a possibilidade de duas medalhas para o país.

Canoagem

Principal nome do esporte brasileiro nos Jogos Olímpicos Rio-2016, com o recorde histórico de três medalhas conquistadas, Isaquias Queiroz tem tudo para brilhar novamente em Tóquio na canoagem velocidade. O baiano segue em seu auge físico e técnico, e competirá em duas provas no Japão. Isaquias fará sua estreia nesta segunda-feira (2) no C2 1.000m, em que fará parceria com Jacky Godmann. Na sexta-feira (6), será a vez da disputa individual no C1 1.000m. O atleta foi vice-campeão olímpico há cinco anos nestas duas provas.

Skate

O Brasil mostrou com as medalhas olímpicas de Kelvin Hoefler e Rayssa Leal na modalidade street que o skate nacional é um dos protagonistas no planeta. E, nesta segunda metade dos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio, outros atletas das quatro rodinhas estão cotados entre os favoritos ao pódio, especialmente entre os homens. No park masculino, a seleção brasileira será representada pelos skatistas Pedro Barros, Luiz Francisco e Pedro Quintas, que já medalharam em Campeonatos Mundiais. O país também estará na competição feminina, com a vice-campeã mundial Yndiara Asp, além de Dora Varella e Isadora Pacheco.

Maratona aquática

Eleita seis vezes a melhor maratonista aquática do planeta e com mais de dez medalhas conquistadas em Campeonatos Mundiais, a baiana Ana Marcela Cunha buscará em Tóquio seu primeiro pódio em Olimpíadas. A nadadora disputará a prova dos 10km na quarta-feira (4), em que é uma das candidatas ao pódio.
