Flu de Feira perdeu um dos seus mais atuantes dirigentes nos últimos anos

O Fluminense de Feira de Santana perdeu no começo da noite de hoje, um dos seus dirigentes mais atuantes nos últimos anos.  Mizael Freitas de Santana, faleceu aos 62 anos, vítima de um infarto fulminante, quando ele estava chegando em sua residência no bairro Brasília

Mizael Freitas entrou na vida do Fluminense em 2010, quando até ensaiou uma candidatura à presidência do Touro do Sertão, mas acabou compondo uma chapa com José Francisco Pinto, o Zé Chico, como vice-presidentes e Luiz Paolilo Filho foi candidato à presidência. Essa diretoria ficou no clube até o final de 2012.

Mesmo afastado das funções diretivas, ele esteve colaborando na gestão do saudoso Rubem Cerqueira, entre os anos de 2013 e 2014. Voltou de forma efetiva na gestão de Gerinaldo Costa e foi um dos pilares daquela diretoria que conduziu o Touro do Sertão de volta a elite do futebol baiano, depois de amargar dois anos na 2ª divisão estadual.

Atuou como diretor administrativo e posteriormente já graduado em Direito atuou como diretor jurídico do clube. Ele teve participação ativa até o começo do ano passado no tricolor feirense.

Mizael Freitas teve uma participação ativa na vida pública de Feira de Santana, exercendo funções na Polícia Rodoviária Federal como patrulheiro e superintendente. Posteriormente emprestou seus conhecimentos ao Poder Público, quando foi nomeado secretário de Prevenção a Violência no governo do então prefeito Tarcízio Pimenta. Nessa oportunidade foi um dos responsáveis por implementar melhorias na Guarda Municipal, além do sistema de câmeras de segurança na cidade.

No campo político em 2006 disputou as eleições para deputado estadual tendo mais de 5 mil votos e ocupou a direção do PSC feirense (Partido Social Cristão). No campo musical foi cantor e compositor da banda gospel Jeová Nissi.
