A Federação Bahiana de Futebol e os clubes definiram nesta segunda-feira (19) os detalhes da Série B do Baianão 2021. Equipes participantes e fórmula de disputa foram conhecidos na Reunião do Conselho Técnico, realizada na sede da entidade. Doze clubes solicitaram inscrição na competição, mas apenas oito estiveram aptos. Seis deles confirmaram no evento a participação. Disputarão o acesso à Série A de 2022 o Barcelona Futebol Clube, Botafogo Sport Club, Camaçari Futebol Clube, Sport Clube Camaçariense, Colo-Colo de Futebol e Regatas e Grapiúna Atlético Clube. O Galícia Esporte Clube e o Jacobina Esporte Clube realizaram inscrição, mas desistiram durante o encontro e se retiraram da disputa.
No local, os candidatos à vaga na elite aprovaram, por meio de votação, a fórmula de disputa do campeonato. Os seis clubes ficarão em um mesmo grupo na primeira fase e se enfrentarão em jogos apenas de ida, com pontos corridos. Os quatro primeiros colocados avançarão às semifinais, que serão disputadas com 1º x 4º e 2º x 3º. A segunda fase também terá apenas jogos de ida, com mandos de campo do 1º e 2º colocados da fase de classificação.
Os dois vencedores decidem o título e o acesso à Série A. A final será com jogos de ida e volta. O finalista de melhor campanha no somatório de todas as fases faz o segundo jogo no seu mando de campo. A Série B deve ser iniciada no dia 27 de junho, com término previsto para o dia 4 de agosto, e seguirá o Protocolo de Retomada do Futebol Baiano e as Diretrizes Técnicas Operacionais da CBF.
A Reunião do Conselho Técnico foi comandada pela diretoria da FBF, representada pelo presidente, Ricardo Lima, o vice-presidente, Manfredo Lessa, a diretora de competições, Taíse Galvão, o diretor administrativo de financeiro, Marcelo Araújo, e o coordenador de registros e transferências, Felipe Quadros. Também participaram presidentes e representantes de clubes e o diretor geral da TVE, Flávio Gonçalves. A emissora, parceira oficial do futebol baiano, terá mais uma vez os direitos de transmissão do campeonato. A FBF divulgará em breve, por meio do site oficial, o regulamento, tabela e plano de ação da Série B.
