Na tarde desta segunda-feira (25), o Alagoinhas Atlético Clube anunciou a contratação de Joaquim Neto, atual prefeito da cidade de Alagoinhas, como diretor médico do Carcará para 2025. O clube afirmou que um dos motivos para trazer Joaquim para a equipe é sua experiência com a área da saúde e a forte conexão com o município do agreste baiano.

Joaquim Neto é o atual prefeito da cidade de Alagoinhas, em 2021 ele foi reeleito e cumpre seu mandato até dezembro de 2024. Posteriormente, o cargo vai ser ocupado por Gustavo Carmo, eleito na última eleição municipal em 2024.
