O britânico Lando Norris vai largar na frente na corrida sprint do GP de São Paulo da F1. O líder do campeonato conseguiu a pole ao fazer o melhor tempo da classificação sprint, nesta sexta-feira (7), no Autódromo de Interlagos. Kimi Antonelli ficou na segunda colocação, enquanto Oscar Piastri vai largar em terceiro. O brasileiro Gabriel Bortoleto aparecerá em 14º lugar no grid.
A largada da corrida sprint do GP de São Paulo acontecerá neste sábado (8), às 11h.
Dono do melhor tempo no treino livre do final de semana, realizado algumas horas antes, Norris fez um treino classificatório consistente para conseguir a primeira colocação. Ele liderou o SQ1, foi o segundo colocado no SQ2 e fechou o SQ3 com o tempo de 1min09s243, menos de um décimo à frente de Antonelli.
Concorrente direto na luta pelo título do campeonato e companheiro de equipe na McLaren, Oscar Piastri ficou a 0s185 de Norris. A diferença entre os dois na classificação da temporada é de apenas um ponto. Outro postulante ao título, Max Verstappen foi o sexto colocado da classificação sprint e vai largar atrás neste sábado.
Esta foi a segunda vez que Norris conquistou a pole da sprint em São Paulo, repetindo o que aconteceu há dois anos. Naquela ocasião, o piloto da McLaren terminou em segundo lugar – atrás de Max Verstappen. Em 2024, conseguiu vencer a corrida, naquela foi sua primeira vitória em sprints na carreira, apesar de não ter largado na frente.
Em sua primeira classificação sprint em São Paulo como piloto da Fórmula 1, Bortoleto não avançou para o SQ3 e vai largar na 14ª colocação neste sábado. Com direito a bandeirão da torcida, que lotou as arquibancadas do Autódromo de Interlagos, o brasileiro foi muito bem em suas primeiras voltas e avançou para SQ2 na nona colocação. No segundo semento, porém, não conseguiu um tempo suficiente para avançar ao último segmento e foi eliminado.
