O jogador, que chegou por empréstimo do Sport até o fim da temporada, comentou sobre a importância da intertemporada para sua adaptação ao elenco e destacou a relação de confiança com o técnico Thiago Carpini.
Ao ser questionado sobre a concorrência com Lucas Arcanjo, titular da posição há várias temporadas, Thiago Couto demonstrou respeito e espírito de colaboração. “Claro que existe a disputa sadia com o Lucas, que é um grande profissional e tem feito um trabalho sólido aqui no Vitória. Mas o mais importante é ajudar o clube. Vou dar o meu melhor nos treinos e estarei pronto para o que o professor Carpini decidir. O importante é o Vitória alcançar seus objetivos”, completou.
Revelado pelo São Paulo, o goleiro também já defendeu Juventude e Sport antes de chegar ao Leão. Ele destacou que a base tricolor paulista teve papel fundamental na formação de suas principais características.
Thiago Couto é o segundo reforço apresentado nesta janela de transferências. Antes dele, o meia português Rubén Rodrigues também foi oficializado. Nesta quarta, o Vitória deve anunciar mais um reforço, mas o nome e posição são mantídos sob sigilo pela direção.
