O Coritiba confirmou, na manhã desta segunda-feira (15), a inclusão do Grupo Independiente Del Valle como novo sócio investidor em sua Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF). Segundo o comunicado oficial divulgado pelo clube paranaense, a movimentação é classificada como uma “decisão estratégica” com objetivo de “fortalecer o projeto esportivo e institucional” do Coxa.
O Grupo Independiente, originário do Equador e notório pelo sucesso de seu principal clube, o Independiente Del Valle (IDV), é reconhecido como uma das principais referências em formação de atletas no cenário sul-americano.
A parceria estabelecida com o Coritiba terá como foco a transferência de conhecimento, metodologia e experiência do IDV para o clube brasileiro. Com o acordo, o grupo equatoriano passa a deter uma participação como acionista minoritário na SAF do Coritiba.
O histórico recente do IDV é marcado pela excelência nas divisões de base e por conquistas internacionais expressivas, como o bicampeonato da Copa Sul-Americana (2019 e 2022) e a Recopa Sul-Americana (2023).
A atuação do Grupo Independiente segue um modelo de conglomerado de clubes, semelhante ao adotado por grupos como o City Football Group e o Grupo Eagle (controlador do Botafogo no Brasil).

A gestão do Grupo Independiente é realizada pelos empresários Michel Deller e Franklin Tello, por meio da empresa Sociedad Farley S.A. Deller é considerado uma figura central no grupo e é influente no futebol e nos setores imobiliário e varejista do Equador.
Desde junho de 2023, o Coritiba tem sua SAF controlada majoritariamente pela Treecorp Investimentos, que adquiriu essa participação por R$ 1,1 bilhão. Este valor está previsto para ser aplicado ao longo de dez anos, abrangendo o pagamento de dívidas, a reforma do Estádio Couto Pereira e a construção de um novo centro de treinamento.
Em 2025, a empresa OutField juntou-se à estrutura como co-gestora, sendo uma das responsáveis pela administração do futebol do clube. Os 10% restantes da SAF permanecem sob a responsabilidade da Associação Coritiba.
Campeão da Série B, o Coxa terá um calendário com três competições em 2025. O clube dará início à temporada com o Campeonato Paranaense, no dia 7 de janeiro. A Série A do Campeonato Brasileiro também começará no mesmo mês, e o Coxa disputará a Copa do Brasil.
