Seu último trabalho no Brasil foi comandandando o Coritiba onde em 11 jogos não venceu nenhum jogo.
O trabalho mais longevo do treinador foi no Bolívar, clube do City Football Group, onde comandou entre 2020 e 2022, com 71 jogos, 44 vitórias, 13 empates e 14 derrotas. Além do clube boliviano e do Coxa, também soma passagens por outros times como Kashima Antlers, Internacional, Fortaleza, Palmeiras e Juventude.
