O Bahia anunciou, na noite desta segunda-feira (5) a contratação do atacante uruguaio Cristian Olivera. O jogador de 23 anos chega ao Tricolor por empréstimo do Grêmio até o fim de 2026.
‘Kike’ Olivera chegou ao Grêmio em fevereiro deste ano, em uma das contratações mais caras da equipe gaúcha. O Tricolor de Porto Alegre pagou US$ 4,5 milhões (R$ 25,6 milhões na época) ao Los Angeles FC para contar com o uruguaio.
A passagem do atacante pelo Grêmio, contudo, foi turbulenta. Ele chegou a revelar insatisfação com a reserva em entrevista à imprensa uruguaia e externar publicamente o desejo de jogar no Nacional. No total, Cristian disputou 37 jogos, com cinco gols e duas assistências pelo clube gaúcho.
O atacante se profissionalizou no Rentistas, do Uruguai. Em 2021, ele se transferiu para o Almeria, da Espanha, onde jogou até 2021, quando voltou ao seu país natal para jogar por Peñarol e Boston River.
Em 2023, o uruguaio foi contratado pelo pelo Los Angeles FC, dos Estados Unidos, onde viveu sua melhor fase. Em 2024, anotou 14 gols e cinco assistências em 35 partidas disputadas.
