A CBF anunciou, nesta segunda-feira (16), o Ranking Nacional de Clubes (RNC), que serve como base para a definição dos potes da primeira fase da Copa do Brasil 2025. A competição, que terá início em fevereiro do próximo ano, contará com 80 equipes na etapa inicial.
De acordo com o regulamento, as equipes dos potes A, B, C e D jogarão fora de casa na primeira fase e precisam apenas de um empate para avançar. Os confrontos serão disputados em jogo único, na casa da equipe pior colocada no RNC.
Já os times nos potes E, F, G e H, com menor pontuação no ranking, precisam obrigatoriamente vencer para se classificar à segunda fase.
O chaveamento será definido da seguinte forma:
A x E, B x F, C x G e D x H.
Com o formato estabelecido, as equipes mais bem ranqueadas ganharão a vantagem de jogar fora de casa, precisando apenas do empate para avançar. Já os clubes com menor pontuação no ranking terão a chance de decidir a classificação como mandantes, mas só avançam com uma vitória
