Dos 64 times que disputam a 5ª divisão nacional, Bahia de Feira. Jaraguá/GO, Patrocinense/MG. Rio Branco/PR e São Bento/SP ainda não tiveram o prazer de vencer, após sete partidas disputadas na fase dos jogos de ida. O que essas equipes têm em comum são as reformulações feitas em seus elencos e as dificuldades financeiras, que inclusive foi a grande ameaça para que algumas delas nem chegasse a participar da disputa. No entanto esses empecilhos refletem em campanhas modestas e incipientes, com reações cada vez mais distantes no sentido de uma classificação para seguir sonhando com uma acesso a Série C em 2022.
Das equipes que estão sem vencer na Série D, o Bahia de Feira é quem vem de uma situação melhor: foi vice-campeão baiano teve algumas saídas e retornos no seu elenco. Os dirigentes nem planejavam disputar a competição, mas resolveram disputar com um elenco jovem e até então o time não decolou. Tem 5 pontos e a essa altura não depende mais das duas próprias forças para avançar na competição, embora matematicamente tenha chances de chegar entre os quatro primeiros que avançam para a sequência da competição.
No Grupo 5, o Jaraguá/GO fez uma fraca campanha no campeonato estadual e também quase não disputa a Série D. Houve a troca de presidente e o clube também reformulação elenco e até então mão conseguiu um triunfo sequer na Série D: tem um triunfo e seus derrotas no campeonato. Já no Grupo 6, o Patrocinense/MG tem apenas 3 pontos, frutos de três empates e quatro derrotas. O time foi décimo colocado do Campeonato Mineiro deste ano e por pouco também não disputou a Série D.
Das equipes que estão sem vencer na Série D, o São Bento/SP é o que teve ascensão e queda mais rápidos na história recente do futebol: o time em 2017 saiu da Série D para a Série C, no ano seguinte chegou a Série B e depois começou o declínio: em 2019, o Bentão caiu na Série B do Brasileiro e na Série A1 do Paulista. Em 2020, foi rebaixado na Série C. E agora, em 2021, amargou o descenso para a Série A2 novamente. Na Série D, o time tem campanha idêntica a do Bahia de Feira: cinco empates e duas derrotas.
No Grupo 8, o Rio Branco/PR tem três pontos, é lanterna com quatro derrotas e três empates. Vale lembrar que no Campeonato Paranaense o time escapou do rebaixamento e passou por uma profunda reformulação que incluiu a saída de jogadores entre eles o meia Bernardo, ex-Vasco, e trocou de treinador. Dentre estes times, o Tremendão ainda tem condições matemáticas de chegar, mas para isso terá que vencer seus jogos, além de torcer por tropeços de Atlético de Alagoinhas e Sergipe, além do próprio Asa, adversário que volta a enfrentar no próximo domingo (25) na Arena Cajueiro.
