A emissão do alvará municipal de funcionamento do Estádio de Pituaçu já está mexendo diretamente na organização do Campeonato Baiano. Com a regularização do equipamento esportivo, duas partidas da segunda rodada da competição tiveram seus locais alterados e serão disputadas em Salvador.
Os confrontos Jacuipense x Vitória, inicialmente marcado para a Arena Cajueiro, em Feira de Santana, e Galícia x Juazeirense, que estava previsto para o Estádio Waldomiro Borges, em Jequié, foram transferidos para Pituaçu. A mudança foi confirmada por fontes ligadas ao Bahia Notícias.
A alteração na tabela ocorreu após solicitações formais de Jacuipense e Galícia à Federação Bahiana de Futebol (FBF). Os clubes pediram a transferência do mando de campo para a capital baiana, avaliando que atuar em Salvador facilita a logística e a preparação das equipes, já que ambos mantêm seus treinamentos na cidade. Com a conclusão dos trâmites administrativos e a concordância das equipes visitantes, a FBF autorizou a atualização dos locais das partidas.
A liberação de Pituaçu foi possível após a emissão do alvará municipal de funcionamento, último documento pendente para a regularização do estádio. O processo contou com aval da Secretaria Municipal da Fazenda (Sefaz) e atendeu às exigências estabelecidas na Portaria nº 55/2023 do Ministério do Esporte, em conformidade com a Lei Geral do Esporte. Embora o estádio tenha capacidade máxima para até 18 mil torcedores, conforme previsto na legislação, a utilização inicial ocorrerá com restrição de público. O Laudo de Segurança emitido pela Polícia Militar da Bahia autoriza, neste momento, a presença de até 3 mil pessoas, limite que seguirá em vigor até nova avaliação técnica dos órgãos competentes.
O processo de regularização envolveu ainda o levantamento documental conduzido pela Superintendência de Desportos do Estado da Bahia (Sudesb), além da obtenção do Termo de Viabilidade Locacional (TVL) e do Habite-se. Em dezembro de 2025, a autarquia também recebeu alvará específico para a execução de obras de recuperação estrutural e melhorias no estádio.
Com as mudanças confirmadas, Pituaçu volta a sediar partidas da elite do Campeonato Baiano após três anos, marcando seu retorno ao calendário principal do futebol estadual e ampliando as opções de praças esportivas disponíveis na capital para a competição.
