Visando a disputa do Baianão 2021, a diretoria do ECPP-VC contratou o treinador Luiz Gabardo Júnior. Ex atleta profissional, Gabardo Júnior, 38 anos, iniciou sua trajetória na base do Grêmio de Porto Alegre, onde trabalhou por 15 anos, passando por todas as categorias, desde o sub-10 até chegar ao profissional, quando foi auxiliar técnico na equipe comandada por Renato Gaúcho em 2018.
Também tem passagens por São José-RS, em 2019 comandou o São Caetano no Brasileirão Série D e em 2020 esteve a frente do CEOV Operário, no qual foi eleito o melhor treinador da primeira fase do Estadual 2020.
Bacharelado em Educação Física, Gabardo Júnior tem especialização em Futebol e Futsal, pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2008), curso de Treinador de Futebol, pelo Sindicato dos Treinadores Profissionais do Rio Grande do Sul (2007), curso de treinadores da CBF ACADEMY – Licença B (2019) e já matriculado no curso de treinadores da CBF para Licença A. Gabardo Júnior tem sua chegada prevista para a manhã da próxima terça-feira(19).
Além de Gabardo junior a diretoria do ECPPVC já anunciou outros reforços para a temporada 2021, acertou a contratação do jovem zagueiro Sávio Maciel, 21 anos. O atleta é formado nas categorias de base do Vila Nova-Go, tem passagem pelo Farense de Portugal e atuou pelo Grêmio de Porto Alegre no último campeonato Brasileiro de Aspirantes.
O ECPPVC também acertou a contratação do meio campo Guto, 22 anos, natural de Novo Hamburgo-RS, foi revelado pelas categorias de base do Novo Hamburgo e passou pelo CEOV Operário, onde disputou o Brasileirão série D e do lateral esquerdo Alex Lagamar, para a disputa do Baianão 2021. Alex, 24 anos, natural de Itabaiana-SE, tem passagens por clubes como o Confiança, Guarany de Sobral, Atlético Gloriense, Goiânia e o Itabaiana no qual disputou o Campeonato Sergipano 2020
No campeonato baiano de 2020 o ECPP-VC ficou na sétima colocação e quer fazer diferente em 2021 para voltar a ter um calendário recheado de competições em nível nacional.
