O atleta de 33 anos chega à Juazeirense com status de maior contratação da história do clube e com contrato até o fim deste ano. O Deputado Roberto Carlos comemora o feito: “É um jogador talentoso e muito experiente. Fizemos um esforço muito grande para trazê-lo e com certeza ajudará o Cancão de Fogo a continuar nesta crescente em todas as competições que estamos disputando” disse ele”.
Kanu é baiano, nasceu em Salvador e passou quase toda sua carreira fora do país, atuando no maior time da Bélgica, o Anderlecht, onde disputou Liga Europa, Champions League e foi campeão nacional em três oportunidades. Além do futebol belga, o jogador atuou na Rússia, Tailândia, Chipre e na temporada passada jogava no futebol árabe. No Brasil, no início da carreira, o meio–campista, que é canhoto, jogou apenas pelo Grêmio Barueri e Juventus-SP.
Previsto para chegar a Juazeiro nesta quinta (01), Kanu será apresentado oficialmente a torcida de forma virtual e participará do treino com seus novos companheiros em seguida.
