De olho no planejamento das categorias de base para a temporada, o Bahia acertou a contratação de mais um jovem atleta. Trata-se do atacante Iago Silva, de 18 anos. A informação foi divulgada inicialmente pelo perfil Base do Esquadrão.
O jogador chega ao Tricolor por empréstimo junto ao Azuriz. O projeto do time paranaense contou com intermédio de empresários como Aildo Pires, para preparação do atleta. Na última temporada, Iago defendeu o Red Bull Bragantino, também cedido, e foi um dos nomes da campanha que terminou com o clube paulista como finalista do Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20 de 2025.
Durante a competição nacional, o atacante marcou gols e teve participação relevante na campanha, mas acabou sem receber muitas oportunidades ao longo do ano. Diante do cenário, o atleta rescindiu seu vínculo e optou por acertar com o Bahia, onde passará a integrar o projeto de desenvolvimento da base tricolor.
