O Supremo Tribunal Federal formou maioria para manutenção da pena de 9 anos de Robinho, nesta sexta-feira (22). Preso desde março de 2024, foi condenado por estupro, pela justiça italiana, e teve a prisão homologada pelo STF.
Até então, seis ministros votaram pela continuação da pena. Dentre os votos, apenas o ministro Gilmar Mendes votou a favor da liberdade do jogador.
Os dois pedidos de liberdade, feitos pela defesa do ex-jogador, estão sendo julgados de forma virtual. Nos pedidos de habeas corpus, a defesa de Robinho questionou a legalidade da decisão do STJ que homologou a sentença da Justiça Italiana.
Em setembro, o julgamento dos pedidos foram feitos, mas um pedido de vista, ou seja, mais tempo para avaliar o caso, solicitado pelo ministro Gilmar Mendes, adiou a definição.
