O julgamento de recurso do ex-jogador Robinho, preso por estupro, foi remarcado pelo ministro Luiz Fux, do Supremo Tribunal Federal, nesta terça-feira (3).
O julgamento iria acontecer de forma virtual nos dias 6 e 13 de setembro e foram remarcados para os dias 13 e 20 deste mês. A defesa de Robson de Souza questiona se é permitido o cumprimento da pena de um cidadão brasileiro condenado no exterior e validada pelo STF.
O ex-atleta foi condenado em todas as instâncias da justiça italiana, e o Ministério Público de Milão pediu ao Brasil a extradição imediata de Robinho.
Contudo, as leis brasileiras não autorizam a extradição de cidadãos nascidos para cumprimento de pena em outros países. Robson foi condenado a 9 anos de prisão por estupro coletivo em 2022. Por não estar no país, não foi preso na época da condenação e a Justiça italiana solicitou o cumprimento da pena no Brasil. Ministros do Supremo Tribunal de Justiça acataram o pedido, julgando que deveria cumprir a pena imediatamente, em regime fechado.
