UFC: Poirier assina contrato para trilogia contra McGregor, diz site

Nesta sexta-feira, a trilogia entre Dustin Poirier e Conor McGregor ficou mais próxima de acontecer. Segundo o site “Espn.com”, o americano Poirier assinou o contrato para encarar o rival irlandês pela terceira vez no dia 10 de julho, no UFC 264, evento que ainda não tem sede marcada.

Segundo o mesmo website, Conor McGregor já teria concordado com o duelo e com a data. Terceira luta entre ex-campeões pesos-leves deve acontecer em 10 de julho. Conor McGregor já teria confirmado o novo confronto, que desempataria a rivalidade entre os dois

Será a terceira vez que McGregor e Poirier, ambos ex-campeões do peso-leve (até 70,3kg), se enfrentam. Os dois cruzaram caminhos pela primeira vez como pesos-penas (até 65,8kg) em 2014, com vitória do irlandês por nocaute no primeiro round – ele se tornaria campeão da divisão pouco mais de um ano depois. A revanche aconteceu em janeiro deste ano, no peso-leve, e Poirier venceu McGregor no segundo round, impondo a ele sua primeira derrota por nocaute técnico na carreira.
