Judoca Rafaela Silva será julgada hoje para tentar participar das Olimpíadas

A judoca Rafaela Silva será julgada hoje (10) pela Corte Arbitral do Esporte (CAS). Ela tenta reduzir a pena de dois anos de suspensão, por ter sido flagrada no exame antidoping em agosto do ano passado, para tentar participar dos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio 2020, evento que foi adiado para 2021. Em janeiro, a brasileira mudou de advogado passando a missão para Marcelo Franklin, principal referência nessa questão, que inocentou atletas como Cesar Cielo, Caio Bonfim, Etiene Medeiros, Ana Cláudia Lemos e Pedro Barros.

O resultado do julgamento ainda não tem data para sair, podendo até ser divulgado no fim deste ano. Com a punição, Rafaela só voltaria à ativa em novembro de 2021, perdendo as Olimpíadas. No entanto, com o adiamento do evento, surgiu a esperança da atual campeã olímpica defender seu título no Japão. Mas para isso, ela precisaria reduzir a pena por no máximo um ano e meio, apesar de não sobrar muito tempo para a preparação. A melhor opção, seria conseguir a diminuição para um ano, que seria suficiente para disputar os torneios preparatórios antes do início dos Jogos.

Realizado durante os Jogos Pan-Americanos de Lima, no Peru, em agosto de 2019, o exame antidoping de Rafaela Silva detectou a presença de fenoterol. Com isso, ela perdeu a medalha de ouro conquistada na categoria leve (-57kg). Porém, no mesmo dia que soube do resultado, a brasileira disputou o Campeonato Mundial de Judô ficando a medalha de bronze, onde foi submetida a uma nova testagem cerca de 20 dias depois da competição continental cujo resultado deu negativo. No início de novembro do mesmo ano, ela entrou em suspensão voluntária parando de lutar.

Além da medalha de ouro olímpica, Rafaela Silva também tem um título mundial conquistando em 2013. Ela ainda acumula três medalhas de prata e dois bronzes em Campeonatos Mundiais. O ouro nos Jogos Pan-Americanos de 2019 seria o primeiro dela na carreira.
