Após uma semana de folga, a Fórmula 1 volta a acelerar! Agora a principal categoria do automobilismo mundial inicia sua temporada fora da Europa, começando nas ruas de Marina Bay com mais uma edição do GP de Singapura, que esse ano sofre uma pequena alteração no traçado, perdendo as curvas 16,17,18 e 19 no terceiro setor (a curva 14 liga diretamente a até então curva 20) formando uma reta e ficando mais veloz.
Essa será a 14ª edição da prova noturna do Sudeste Asiático desde sua introdução em 2008, tendo ficado de fora do calendário em 2020 e 2021 por conta da pandemia da Covid-19. Sebastian Vettel é o maior vencedor do GP com cinco triunfos, incluindo sua última vitória na F1 em 2019.
Em 2023, a F1 visita Singapura com um novo cenário de domínio. Max Verstappen caminha a passos largos em busca do título. Com 12 vitórias no ano, sendo 10 consecutivas, o holandês tem 364 pontos contra 219 de Sergio Pérez. Fernando Alonso é o terceiro com 170 e Lewis Hamilton (164) e Carlos Sainz (117) completam o top 5.
