Participantes da corrida Muchacho’s Run realizaram uma homenagem neste domingo (17) a Emerson Pinheiro, durante evento na Orla de Ondina. Perto dali, no Farol da Barra, outro grupo de corredores também fez um ato pedindo por justiça pelo atleta. Emerson, de 29 anos, foi atropelado quando corria em um treino na Pituba, na manhã de ontem. Ele sofreu ferimentos graves, amputou uma das pernas e segue internado.
Na manhã de hoje, antes do início da corrida em Ondina, os atletas bateram palmas em homenagem ao corredor, pedindo por justiça no caso.
Um amigo de Emerson desabafou nas redes sociais. “Hoje foi um dos dias mais tristes de minha vida! Eu passei pelo local minutos antes do fato, passei por Emerson, nos falamos rapidamente. Saí desejando coisas boas para ele, só pensamentos positivos. Minutos depois, o acidente, fruto de uma atitude criminosa”, lamentou, pedindo orações pelo corredor.
Na Barra, o ato foi organizado por Junior Cavalcante, corredor conhecido em Salvador pela dedicação à modalidade.
Além dos atos hoje, também está marcado para o próximo sábado (23), um treino coletivo no Parque dos Ventos, na Boca do Rio, em homenagem a Emerson e pela sensibilização contra acidentes de trânsito.
O atropelamento foi registrado por volta das 5h40, nas imediações da Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz, na orla da Pituba. Emerson estava reunido com um grupo de corredores que treinavam para correr uma maratona em Buenos Aires no mês que vem. O motorista atropelador foi identificado como Cleydson Cardoso Costa Filho, que foi preso em flagrante. Depois de atingir Emerson na calçada, ele ainda bateu em um poste e derrubou uma barraca.
Segundo relatos de pessoas próximas, Emerson está cursando Educação Física e é uma pessoa ativa, que pratica diferentes modalidades esportivas. Com o impacto do atropelamento, no entanto, ele acabou fraturando as duas pernas. Por conta dos graves ferimentos, os companheiros de corrida ficaram completamente aterrorizados com a cena após o atropelamento. A Polícia Militar foi chamada.
Além de auxiliar no socorro, agentes conduziram o motorista, com sinais de embriaguez, para uma delegacia. Procurada, a Polícia Civil confirmou que ele foi autuado em flagrante pelos crimes de lesão corporal culposa de natureza grave ou gravíssima. Uma equipe da Transalvador informou ter tentado realizar o teste de alcoolemia por meio de etilômetro; contudo, o suspeito não conseguiu concluir o exame.
