Segundo o superintendente de Esportes de Feira, Emerson Brito, o motivo está no sistema de iluminação ultrapassado e sem possibilidade de reparo.
“Essas torres são muito antigas e não cabem mais manutenção. Para voltar a ter partidas à noite, só com uma troca geral por LED, o que exigiria investimento de cerca de R$ 1 milhão”, explicou Brito ao Acorda Cidade.
Ele acrescentou que, por conta de um processo de licitação em andamento para gestão privada do Joia, o município considera inviável fazer esse aporte agora.
A organização do evento foi avisada da restrição e recebeu como alternativa a Arena Cajueiro, caso queira manter o amistoso em horário noturno.
