Com a paralisação do Campeonato Baiano por conta da pandemia do Covid-19, a situação financeira do Fluminense se complicou muito. Em meio a várias ações trabalhistas, o tricolor feirense está mergulhado em uma dívida que ultrapassa os R$ 2 milhões. Apesar disso, de acordo com o presidente do clube, Everton Carneiro, o Pastor Tom, a situação do elenco atual está sob controle e os dirigentes seguem no compasso de espera de definições quanto ao desfecho do Campeonato Baiano.
O presidente Tom confirmou que a situação do Fluminense está muito complicada chegando quase ao ponto de inviabilidade. “Muitos patrocinadores já não estão pagando mais, os recursos estão escasseando, mas mesmo assim estamos buscando manter os compromisso em dias até porque não queremos inflacionar ainda mais a parte financeira do clube”, declarou.
Segundo o dirigente, o clube está às voltas com uma série de processos oriundos da Justiça do Trabalho. “A situação se agravou de 2018 para cá, ou seja, foram feitos compromissos que não foram honrados e agora estamos tendo que administrar esta situação que com a falta de recursos fica mais complicado ainda e quando assumimos não tivemos tempo para fazer um planejamento estratégico e a consequência disso é o quadro atual”, declarou Tom.
Embora o quadro seja de dificuldade, o presidente disse que vem buscando resolver os problemas e que a esta altura, tanto a nível de elenco como de funcionários a situação está praticamente regularizada. “Nós temos mais de 90% da situação salarial do grupo resolvida. Faltam poucas coisas, alguns jogadores por conta de valores que estamos negociando a situação e acredito que tudo chegará a bom termo, mesmo porque somos transparentes, verdadeiros e os profissionais por sua vez têm entendido o momento e consenso tem prevalecido”, garantiu Tom.
Quanto a questão da possibilidade de volta do Campeonato Baiano, Tom acredita que o momento ainda é de aguardar por uma definição por parte da FBF. “Se voltar, vamos estar prontos para lutar dentro de campo por melhores posições. Tínhamos perdido dois jogos e empatado outro, mas ainda estamos na briga, nada tá definido e se for o caso de voltar estaremos prontos para lutar e vencer e quem sabe chegar a fase semifinal da competição. Estamos na briga e vamos conseguir vaga na Série D de 202, se Deus quiser. Somos capazes, não somos covardes “, declarou o presidente.
