A Federação Bahiana de Futebol divulgou o regulamento e a tabela do Campeonato Baiano Sub-20 de 2021. A competição retorna ao calendário neste ano, após ter sido cancelada em 2020 por conta da pandemia da Covid-19.
Nesta edição, 14 clubes disputarão o estadual, que será realizado entre 19 de junho e 22 de setembro. Eles foram divididos em dois grupos para a primeira fase. No Grupo 1 ficaram Vitória, ABB, Bahia de Feira, Doce Mel, Fluminense, Pituaçu (PFC-Cajazeiras) e Juazeirense. Já o Grupo 2, Bahia, Atlético, Barcelona, Camaçariense, Jacuipense, UNIRB e ECPP Vitória da Conquista.
As equipes se enfrentarão dentro de cada grupo, em sistema apenas de ida. Avançarão para a segunda fase, de quartas de final, as quatro melhores colocadas de cada grupo.
Nas quartas, as oito classificadas serão redivididas em novos quatro grupos de duas cada, com a seguinte formação: Grupo 3 (1º do GR 1 x 4º do GR 2), Grupo 4 (1º do GR 2 x 4º do GR 1), Grupo 5 (2º do GR 1 x 3º do GR 2) e Grupo 6 (2º do GR 2 x 3º do GR 1). Os jogos serão de ida e volta.
Os vencedores de cada grupo se classificarão para a semifinal, com dois novos grupos e partidas também de ida e volta. O Grupo 7 (1º do GR 3 x 1º do GR 5) e o Grupo 8 (1º do GR 4 x 1º do GR 6). Os dois ganhadores deste confronto decidirão o título em dois jogos.
