O triunfo de 2 x 0 diante da Ferroviária em Araraquara/SP, no último sábado (9), além de confirmar a classificação antecipada para a próxima fase da Série D do Campeonato Brasileiro proporcionou ao Bahia de Feira mais uma marca histórica na sua caminhada: a de ser a equipe feirense com a maior sequência de triunfos em competições nacionais.

Começou empatando 2 x 2 com o Real Noroeste/ES; depois venceu a Inter de Limeira fora de casa por 1 x 0; voltou a Arena Cajueiro e derrotou o Pouso Alegre por 2 x 0; saiu e goleou a URT por 5 x 2; de volta aos seus domínios ganhou da Caldense por 1 x 0 e no último sábado, no interior de São Paulo ganhou da Ferroviária por 2 x 0 superando a marca até então estabelecida pelo Fluminense de Feira, sendo o time feirense com a maior sequência de triunfos em uma competição nacional.
A equipe encerra a sua participação na fase classificatória encarando o Nova Venécia/ES, no próximo sábado às 16 horas na Arena Cajueiro. O time capixaba está classificado com 21 pontos e o que estará em disputa são as primeiras posições do Grupo F, já que o objetivo é na próxima fase fugir dos confrontos contra os primeiros colocados do Grupo E, que vão cruzar com as equipes da chave F em sistema eliminatório.
No Grupo E, o Brasiliense/DF no momento lidera com 32 pontos; o Anápolis é o 2º com 24 pontos; o terceiro é o Costa Rica/MS com 21 pontos e com 18 pontos o Operário de Vargem Grande/MT é o quarto colocado. O Tremendão busca as primeiras colocações no seu grupo para que na fase de mata-mata possa fazer a segunda e decisiva partida em seus domínios na Arena Cajueiro.
