O prefeito Colbert Filho recebeu dirigentes da Associação Desportiva, Recreativa e Cultural (Associação FSA), na segunda-feira (15), no Paço Municipal Maria Quitéria.
O objetivo da visita foi apresentar ao chefe do Executivo Municipal o projeto social com jovens de bairros carentes da cidade, no qual é oferecida gratuitamente formação técnica em futebol.
“O projeto existe há sete anos e já atendemos mais de mil jovens na faixa etária dos 9 a 17 anos. Nesse período, tivemos algumas revelações, como um jovem que hoje joga nos Emirados Árabes [país do Oriente Médio]”, disse o gestor técnico da Associação FSA, Jaderson Barbosa.
Outros atletas jogam no Santos, Corinthians, Flamengo, Fluminense do Rio, Bahia, Vitória e no Atlético (MG).
“Nossa proposta é assegurar formação humana através do esporte, criando oportunidades”, acrescentou o vice-presidente da associação, o médico José Adson Rubem, que falou da intenção do grupo em transformar o FSA Esporte Clube em um time profissional.
Além do futebol, o projeto também contempla outras modalidades, como futsal, handebol, karatê, basquete e até mesmo futebol para deficientes visuais.
“Reconheço a qualidade e os passos cuidadosos desse projeto”, destacou o prefeito, revelando o interesse do Governo Municipal em apoiar as ações desenvolvidas pela Associação FSA.
Acompanharam a visita o secretário municipal de Cultura, Esporte e Lazer, Jairo Carneiro Filho; o diretor de Esportes, Emerson Brito; o procurador Augusto Graça Leal; o presidente da Agência Reguladora, Carlos Alberto Moura Pinho; e o vereador Zé Curuca.
