O presidente da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues, negou nesta sexta-feira (8), qualquer tentativa de contratar o técnico Pep Guardiola, do Manchester City. Em declaração oficial, o dirigente ressaltou que não houve qualquer contato com o treinador espanhol e reafirmou o comando de Dorival Júnior à frente da Seleção Brasileira.
“Eu entendo que o Guardiola é um dos maiores técnicos do mundo. Mas não fizemos nenhum tipo de busca por ele. O técnico da Seleção é o Dorival Júnior”, afirmou Ednaldo, em resposta a uma notícia publicada pelo site The Athletic, que alegava que a CBF teria procurado Guardiola em diversas ocasiões ao longo da temporada.

Agora, mais do que nunca, tenho a gana de levantar a equipe, de voltar ao nosso nível”.
