Com o resultado de sábado, o Bahia de Feira ficou na quarta colocação com 10 pontos e zero gol de saldo e no complemento da rodada poderia ser ultrapassado pelo Vila Nova que estava como 7 pontos e um saldo de um gol negativo. Mas como foi derrotado, o time mineiro permanece com os mesmos 7 pontos agora com dois gols negativos, situação que traz uma tranquilidade a mais para o time do treinador Arnaldo Lira, que teve muitos problemas por conta de atletas infectados com o Covid-19.
O grupo voltou de Brasília no domingo e ontem já retomou as atividades com vistas ao jogo de amanhã contra o Gama, já na abertura da oitava rodada da Série D. “O Gama realmente, dos times que vi foi o melhor, cheio de atletas experientes e nós tivemos problemas na escalação. Vamos trabalhar muito no pouco tempo que temos para superá-los em casa. Acho que o fator mando de campo pode ter uma influência e temos que saber aproveitar isso a nosso favor”, observou Arnaldo Lira.
