Depois da conquista do título da 2ª divisão baiana, o Unirb intensifica os preparativos para a temporada 2021, quando a equipe terá o maior desafio da sua curta história com apenas três anos de existência: a disputa da elite estadual. O planejamento do Unirb para 2021 está em andamento e de acordo com o presidente Carlos Joel Pereira (foto), a expectativa é de que até o fim da primeira quinzena de janeiro tudo esteja formatado e a equipe comece a trabalhar. “Nós, para a 2ª divisão oferecemos uma situação para os nossos atletas, mas agora o quadro é diferente porque a competição é mais difícil, a concorrência é maior e como estamos chegando, precisamos ser uma equipe forte. Estamos cuidando da nossa estrutura física (CT, concentração) sem perder de vista a formação da equipe”, explica.
O dirigente disse que os entendimentos estão acontecendo com o treinador Laelson Lopes para que ele permaneça na equipe, que deve perder algumas peças importantes e uma delas é o supervisor Rodrigo Góis. “Nosso interesse é de que ele (Laelson Lopes) fique conosco e os entendimentos estão bem avançados. Já com relação ao Rodrigo, a situação é mais difícil porque ele é funcionário da Juazeirense e deve voltar. Estamos aguardando uma resposta e dependendo poderemos ir a busca de outro profissional”, afirmou Carlos Joel,
Sobre a equipe, Joel diz que a reformulação é inevitável. “Nós temos no grupo alguns atletas da Juazeirense, cujo deputado Roberto Carlos foi um parceiro importante e nós agradecemos o seu apoio. Porém agora os atletas retornarão e isso é normal, assim como outras saídas também, de forma que a gente deve ficar com uns oito atletas do grupo campeão”, informou.
Carlos Joel se mostra aberto à possibilidade de buscar atletas em outros Estados do Brasil. “A dinâmica no futebol é evidente e todo bom atleta, nós buscaremos, independente dele ser ou não da Bahia. Acho que os clubes de futebol devem estar preparados para ir ao mercado. A nossa visão não pode ser limitada em relação a isso”, comentou.
ARBITRAL
O dirigente participou do arbitral para o Campeonato Baiano 2021, na semana passada e um dos pontos discutidos foi sobre a 2ª divisão baiana, quando o Unirb votou favorável a queda de dois times para a Série B e a ascensão de dois times da Série B para a Série A em 2022. “A Bahia é um Estado gigantesco e contar com apenas 10 times na elite é algo que acho desproporcional. No mínimo deveria ser 12 porque dessa forma você ‘oxigena’ o futebol. Votei favorável para que no ano que vem um caia e subam três da 2ª divisão e assim em 2022 se tenha 12 times e aí entra a história de cair dois e subir dois”, argumenta.
Carlos Joel diz que o Unirb será um time competitivo. “Não estamos vindo para brincar. Vamos competir de igual para igual com as outras equipes, procurando os meios para se ter um time que venha marcar com o seu nome a história no futebol da Bahia. Esse é o nosso desejeo e vamos lutar por isso”, declarou.
