Para ex-jogador, a base é a chave para o regresso do Flu de Feira a elite baiana

O Fluminense teve a poucos dias o seu terceiro rebaixamento para a 2ª divisão estadual. Uma triste situação, mas que pode ser revertida caso aconteça um bom trabalho de organização. Esse é o pensamento do ex-zagueiro Odilon que fez parte do elenco do Touro do Sertão rebaixado em 1998, mas que no ano seguinte voltou a elite estadual. Para ele é fundamental um trabalho de base para o retorno do Touro do Sertão.

Odilon lembra que chegou no Fluminense em 1995, ainda nas divisões de base e permaneceu até o ano de 2000. Segundo ele, naquele tempo o Fluminense mantinha uma base independente de quem fosse o treinador, ou de outros atletas que fossem contratados. “A turma era boa: além de mim tinha o Germínio, Claudinho Baiano, Rincón, depois veio o Evaldo Risadinha, o Alisson… enfim naquela época tinha os atletas fora, mas os da base sempre tinha o seu espaço”, recorda.

Para o ex-zagueiro, sem dúvida o pior momento foi em 1998, quando o Fluminense foi rebaixado para a 2ª divisão do Campeonato Baiano, ao lado da Catuense e do Eunápolis. “A gente que era da base, sentiu muito porque já tinha um tempo no clube, criava uma identidade, um vínculo que hoje cada vez mais está ficando difícil. O João Falcão era o presidente e o rebaixamento foi um golpe duríssimo, mas passamos por aquele momento com muita resignação para no ano seguinte votarmos à elite baiana”, disse Odilon.

Odilon contou que a reviravolta começou pela Taça Estado da Bahia. “Mesmo com toda a dificuldade, o presidente permaneceu e montou uma estrutura junto com demais dirigentes e os atletas da base e já na Taça Estado fomos campeões. Foi mantida a base e aí vieram se juntar a gente atletas como o Malhado, Pingo, Luiz Carlos Carioca, Ronaldo, o treinador no começo foi o saudoso Nivaldo Santana, depois o Merrinho e voltamos graças a Deu. Foi muito difícil, mas conseguimos porque houve entrega de todos naquela oportunidade”, recorda.

COMPARAÇÃO

Atualmente, Odilon é comerciante de material esportivo e acompanha com tristeza a atual situação do Fluminense. “Em menos de dois anos, três presidentes? É muito triste isso e ainda mais para quem já passou por lá e sabe a força que é esse clube. Acho que agora todos deveriam se unir e buscar alguma saída para essa situação, o  que não se tem hoje se tinha no passado: uma base e para mim esse seria o caminho que deveria fazer a partir de agora para que no ano que vem já tenha uma equipe mais ou menos montada faltando pequenos ajustes para se fazer”, comentou. “Acredito que se fizerem isso, o Fluminense volta mais fortalecido em 2023. Naquela época foi feito isso e o clube ainda lucrou com a saída de alguns atletas. Quem sabe isso não acontece de novo?”, complementou.
