Índio Ferreira é confirmado como treinador do Fluminense

No começo da tarde a diretoria do Fluminense confirmou Índio Ferreira como seu treinador para a última partida do Campeonato Baiano, ainda sem data definida diante do Vitória em Salvador. O novo comandante tem pela frente uma missão quase impossível que é livrar o tricolor feirense do rebaixamento para a 2ª divisão estadual em 2022.
Ex-jogador, Índio Ferreira (foto) pendurou as chuteiras em 2007. Ele começou a carreira de atleta no Fluminense de Feira em 1990, depois se transferiu para o Flamengo e passou por clubes como Guarani, Juventude, Palmeiras, Goiás, Coritiba, Náutico e Beitar Jerusalem, de Israel e Vitória

Já como treinador, ele iniciou no Amadense em 2014, também trabalhou nas divisões de base do próprio Fluminense e do Bahia de Feira. Ele acumula experiências no Estanciano, Auto Esporte, Inter-PB, Sousa, Atlético-PB, Olímpico, Nacional-PR, Nacional-PR e Apucarana Sports. Paulo Crystal-PB e no ano passado teve a sua primeira oportunidade como treinador profissional na Bahia.

Ele dirigiu o Doce Mel no ano passado e livrou o time de Ipiaú do rebaixamento para a 2ª divisão e permaneceu na equipe que fez uma parceria com o Colo-Colo para a disputa da Série B estadual. Voltou ao Doce Mel, mas não foi feliz e foi substituído por Elias Borges. De acordo com o presidente Ícaro Ivvin, o perfil e acima de tudo a identificação com o clube foram preponderantes para a contração. “Ele tem o espírito de guerreiro, tem uma história com o clube e no momento que estamos vivendo é necessário ter alguém com estas características. É complicado, mas vamos confiar que ele faça um grande trabalho”, destacou o dirigente.

Junto com Índio chegam o auxiliar-técnico Diego Ferreira e o preparador-físico Ítalo Medeiros. O time aguarda a confirmação da data da partida contra o Vitória e segue torcendo por combinações de resultados para que possa ainda ter alguma chance de salvação na última rodada da competição.
