Flu quebra jejum e volta a vencer em casa depois de dois anos

O gol do atacante Bruno Veiga, aos 11 minutos do 2º tempo em cobrança de penalidade máxima foi o suficiente para que o Fluminense vencesse o Vitória da Conquista por 1 x 0 e assim conhecesse a sua primeira vitória no Campeonato Baiano 2021, em partida realizada na tarde hoje no Estádio Joia da Princesa e acabasse com um jejum de mais de dois anos sem vencer jogos em casa.

Depois de iniciar a competição perdendo duas partidas para Atlético e Juazeirense, o Fluminense, tinha a necessidade de vencer o Vitória da Conquista para estancar a possibilidade de uma crise com uma possível derrota para o time do sudoeste que estava estreando na competição, O técnico Thiago Santa Bárbara promoveu as entradas de Marlon na zaga e Catarina começou a partida no meio-campo no lugar de Kariri.

Com a bola rolando, o primeiro tempo não foi muito bom com poucos lances de emoção que ficaram reservadas para o final quando dos goleiros Ronaldo e Weide tiveram maior trabalho. O Fluminense teve mais posse de bola, porém não se impunha em campo e o Vitória da Conquista, que visivelmente sentiu o ritmo de jogo, cresceu no final do primeiro tempo a ponto de assustar o Fluminense em duas oportunidades.

SEGUNDO TEMPO

No segundo tempo a partida começou equilibrada, porém aos 11 minutos depois de uma investida, o meia Catarina foi derrubado na área e o juiz marcou o pênalti. Bruno Veiga cobrou e marcou o único gol da partida. Pouco tempo depois, o volante Moisés foi expulso por estar fazendo “cera” no entendimento da arbitragem ao estar deixando o campo para ser substituído. Com um homem a menos, o Fluminense passou sufoco, mas o goleiro Weide apareceu na partida e com importantes defesas ajudou o Fluminense a garantir o triunfo, que marcou a quebra de um jejum de dois anos sem ganhar em casa pelo Campeonato Baiano. A última vez que o time venceu foi no dia 6 de fevereiro de 2019, quando bateu o Atlético de Alagoinhas por 1 x 0. No passado em jogos no Joia pelo estadual foram duas derrotas e dois empates. O triunfo deixou o Fluminense na 5ª posição na classificação geral do Campeonato Baiano 2021. O time voltará a campo no próximo domingo (7), quando enfrenta o Bahia de Feira na Arena Cajueiro.
