A Série B do Campeonato Baiano 2023 ganhou forma hoje (10). A Reunião do Conselho Técnico foi realizada no auditório da Arena de Esportes da Bahia, em Lauro de Freitas-BA.
A diretoria da Federação Bahiana de Futebol, representada por seu Vice-Presidente, Manfredo Lessa, a Diretora de Competições, Taíse Galvão, o Diretor de Registros e Transferências, Felipe Quadros, o Diretor Administrativo e Financeiro, Marcelo Araújo, e o Vice-Presidente da Ceaf-BA, Vidal Cordeiro, definiu com os clubes a fórmula de disputa e os detalhes para mais uma edição da competição.
Neste ano, a disputa do acesso terá dez clubes, assim como a Série A. Disputarão as duas vagas no Baianão 2024 o Colo-Colo, Fluminense, Galícia, Grapiúna, Jacobina, Jequié, Juazeiro, Leônico, Unirb e ECPPVC. A Fórmula de disputa também será a mesma utilizada na Série A. Os dez clubes ficaram no mesmo grupo, de número 1, e se enfrentarão em jogos apenas de ida na 1ª fase. Os quatro melhores colocados avançarão para a semifinal.
Na semifinal, o 1º colocado do Grupo 1 enfrentará o 4º colocado do Grupo 1. Já o 2º colocado enfrentará o 3º colocado. Os jogos desta fase acontecerão no sistema de ida e volta. Os dois vencedores após os 180 minutos garantirão as duas vagas na Série A de 2024 e disputarão o título da Série B também em duas partidas. Já os dois últimos colocados da 1ª fase serão rebaixados para a Série C de 2024. A Série B será iniciada em 14 de maio e concluída em 6 de agosto.
