O ex-atacante Robert Mendes, maior artilheiro da história do Atlético de Alagoinhas, respondeu às declarações divulgadas pelo clube na última sexta-feira (12), em que a diretoria afirmou que o jogador não possuía vínculo contratual no momento em que sofreu o acidente que interrompeu sua carreira.
Na nota oficial, o Carcará lamentou a situação e destacou que o atleta não tinha contrato ativo em setembro de 2023, quando fraturou a perna. “Com relação à situação delicada que ele enfrenta atualmente em razão do acidente, é importante esclarecer que, no momento da lesão, Robert não possuía vínculo contratual com o Atlético de Alagoinhas. “Gostaria de ressaltar que a menção ao nome do Atlético de Alagoinhas foi pelo não cumprimento da assinatura da carteira por ter sido o meu último clube em maio de 2023 antes do acidente. O meu acidente foi em dezembro de 2023 e se eu estivesse com a carteira assinada adequadamente teria os meus direitos assegurados pelo INSS quando realizei as perícias que deram indeferidas duas vezes por esse motivo. Em momento algum falei que eu tinha contrato com o clube quando aconteceu o acidente”, declarou.
